Hello again from the Montessori Children's House. This month, we will be learning about, and celebrating, Easter. Ms. Rachel has worked with the children during this Lenten season to teach them the true reason for celebrating Easter - and that reason is that Jesus rose again after his crucifixion! They continue to follow Jesus' journey through the stations of the cross during their daily Lenten devotions.
Next week, we plan to color Easter eggs! We have had lessons about primary and secondary colors. Primary colors are red, blue, and yellow. Secondary colors are the ones we get from mixing equal amounts of two primary colors, resulting in orange, green, and purple. We have color-mixing water on the shelf for everyone to use. We will put what we've learned to use when we mix colors to dye our eggs. Earth Day is on April 22, which is right in the middle of our Easter break. We will learn about Earth Day before break, but after our break, we will all make our own paper through recycling.
