We had a wonderful Halloween! We enjoyed costumes, special holiday stations, and sweet treats! We also concluded our learning unit on leaves by classifying all collected leaves, comparing and contrasting them in different ways. When all the leaves dried out, our students used a mortar and pestle to crush them into a mulch to pour over our gardens.
We will also continue exploring other Fall topics, such as hibernation and migration of animals. On November 22, at 7pm, we will participate in a Fall play. Our class will be presenting "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom." If you haven't returned a signed permission slip for your child to perform, please do so as soon as possible.
As the weather is changing now, we ask that you please dress your child according to the weather every day. We will go outside on any day that is dry and the "real feel" temperature is above 25 degrees. Some families choose to leave snowpants and other winter gear at school. We encourage that, so we will always be ready. A winter without any outside time is a loooooong winter!
