Hello! This week has been busy in the Montessori Children's House! We celebrated the first day of Spring on Wednesday by going outside, since the weather and our schedule permitted it. While it wasn't the balmy breezy day we think of when we think "spring," the fresh air felt good and the children stretched their muscles and used their voices gratefully. On Friday, we celebrated Pakistan's National Day, helped by our friend Humza and his family. His mother made delicious food for us to try, and also constructed a learning board about Pakistan. We saw the flag, compared Pakistani money (rupees) to ours, and learned that their national fruit is the delicious mango! What a special (and tasty) cultural geography lesson for our whole class! Thank you to Humza and family for sharing! We are ending our themes of fish and sea creatures and nutrition for this month. Next week, each day, we will taste something from the food groups about which we've been learning.
Thank you for all who've signed up for the Bubble Academy, starting March 26. There are only a few spots left. Please be aware that a $35 STREAM fee is required to assure your spot.
